According to the plan of the Ministry of Commerce of China, in 2020 China will account for 10% of world exports of automobiles and auto parts. By 2015, Chinese exports in this industry will amount to $ 85 billion. To achieve this goal, the growth rate of automotive products should be at least 20% per year.
In January of this year, China became the largest automotive market in the world, having displaced the United States from first place. According to the China Association of Automobile Manufacturer (CAAM), 10.9 million vehicles were sold in China in January – October 2009, an increase of 37.7% compared to the same period last year. True, over the same period, car exports from China decreased by 54% and amounted to 246 thousand units.
