September is National Alcohol and Drug Addiction Recovery Month. This year’s theme is Strengthening Families and Communities. As part of this national public awareness campaign, RCADD will hold the 10th Annual Rockland Recovery Rally Sunday, September 10, 2017 at Rockland Lake State Park. The festivities begin at 8am with a 5K Run/Walk For Recovery and Remembrance followed by a kid’s fun run (link for registration for kids; note that this link is separate from this registration site and does not return to this site), music, activities, information tables and speakers.
The event will help educate and support people affected by substance abuse disorders, educate the public that addiction is a treatable disease, and celebrate the lives of those who have gained and sustained recovery.
Join individuals, families, friends and allies of addiction recovery, along with local stakeholders, and government leaders, and stand up for Recovery breaking the silence to END THE STIGMA associated with the disease of addiction and remember Rockland County residents who have lost their battle with addiction.
Sponsoring the event shows your support for the message of recovery and the Rockland Council on Alcoholism and Other Drug Dependence, Inc. We offer five levels of sponsorship which provide various marketing opportunities for your organization. Your contribution to our event will go a long way in making our event successful.
Any and all donations would be deeply appreciated and are tax deductible. For more information on this event please contact me at @845-215-9788 ext.25 or email@example.com or visit www.rcadd.org.
