Event Information

2017 South Carolina State Parks Come Out & Play 5K Series

The second race of the 5K State Park Series will be held at Paris Mountain State Park on Saturday February 4th, 2017 at 10 AM.  Regardless of whether the Ground Hog sees his shadow or not, we will be running along the trails at Paris Mountain.  Dress warm, and get ready for an invigorating walk, jog or run through the park!

All ages, ability and experience levels are welcome to participate in this 5K event. This race is open to all runners, joggers, walkers, dog walkers or anyone who wants to get some fresh air and exercise.  Due to the terrain and trails, this event is not recommended for strollers or wheelchairs.  Pets are permitted inside Paris Mountain and for this 5K event, but must be on a leash at all times.

The registration fee for this race is $30.00 per person, and all proceeds will benefit trail construction and improvements at Paris Mountain State Park.  We encourage you to help support Paris Mountain and discover one of the most beautiful parks in South Carolina right in Greenville's backyard.  Prizes will be awarded to top place finishers, and T-shirts and give away items will also be given to each paid participant.

Camping sites are available by contacting Paris Mountain State Park at (864) 244-5565 or go to our website at  www.southcarolinastateparks.com .  You can also bring or purchase your Ultimate Outsider Guide Book and get it stamped at Paris Mountain on the day of the race.  You can also collect many other stamps from several other nearby SC State Parks in close proximity.
